11th Convocation Of PGPBA 2015-17

11th Convocation Programme of IGTC Chennai

 

The Convocation of the 11th batch (2015-2017) of students of the Post Graduate Program in Business Administration (PGPBA) and the 2nd batch of Executive Business Management Program (EBMP) of the Indo-German Training Centre (IGTC), Chennai was held on 2nd June, 2017 in the presence of a host of dignitaries which included Mr. Ranjit Pratap chairman, SRC, Indo-German Chamber of Commerce & MD, Rialto Enterprise Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Bernhard Steinruecke, Director General, Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, Chief Guest Mr. Achim Fabig, Consul General, Consulate of the Federal Republic of Germany and Guest of honour Mr. V Ramakrishnan, Director, TORP Systems Pvt. Ltd, Chennai. The objective of organizing the ceremony was to give an opportunity to all graduated students to come back to college once again, relive their old memories and get connected with the institution. The ceremony was well attended by the student community, their families, academicians, members of IGCC and IGTC fraternity, partnering organizations and Media.

The Event presided over by Mr. S Raj, Regional Director, Indo-German Chamber of Commerce & Director, IGTC Chennai where he gave the introductory speech by welcoming dignitaries and congratulated students for being official graduates. He wished them for their successful career and motivated the students to not forgot their value system,  work ethics and humanity.

Mr. Ranjit Pratap, Chairman SRC, Indo-German Chamber of Commerce & MD Rialto Enterprise Pvt. Ltd expressed his happiness toward the ceremony and motivated students to perform better in their career. He advised students to focus on skill development, innovation and out of the box thinking. He said this is a landmark year for the Chamber and its partnering companies and more than 240 students have successfully completed the program and been placed in prestigious German companies.

The Director-General of IGCC, Mr. Bernhard Steinruecke, in his address to the students, focused on the “Bilateral Relations of India and Germany”. He said as the world is changing, it is right time for countries to relook on trade to prosper their GDP and economic growth, opined that the Indian market is a good place to invest despite the healthy competition from other BRIC countries. This is because the Indian market has a huge scope for growth. He added there is a substantial increase in the last 5 years with 86 cases of direct investment and 60 cases of re investment of German companies in Indian Market. He concluded with the remarks that its essential for companies to integrate people and system to flourish their growth.

The students of the graduating Batch Mr Syed Arif Sulthan of EBMP and Mr Sethudev Mohandas of PGPBA shared their experiences at IGTC as how continual learning has become a part of life, followed by Prof. Kalidas (faculty), on behalf of IGTC fraternity expressed his immense gratitude towards the chamber for offering this platform to share knowledge by unique learning practices & Mr. Deenadayalan, AGM HR of Schwing Setter (partnering company) thanked management for their association with the chamber.

 The Guest of Honour Mr. V Ramakrishnan, on this occasion congratulated students & urged them to develop the Vocational skills, which other countries greatly focus on. He motivated students by his own journey to a successful entrepreneur, if one has a right attitude and beliefin potential, one can achieve great milestones in life. He stressed that development is the most constant change happening from time immemorial, so we should continuously upgrade our skills and knowledge to achieve success in this competitive world.

The Consul General, Mr. Achim Fabig who was the chief guest in his message, emphasized that the vision is to realize India’s human resources potential to its fullest and with equity in excellence. He added the mission is to expand access to renewable energy resources in India and Germany, improvements in Railways and infrastructure and to tackle terrorism in order to achieve Global peace.

As the graduates were eagerly waiting to take their certificates, the program continued with the awarding ceremony. The dignitaries proceeded to award the Certificates to the Executives of the EBMP followed by the students of the PGPBA.

Dr Günter Krüger Award for Excellence was won by Mr. Krishna G Shukla, as the Best Performing student of the batch 2015-2017.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. S Raj, where he congratulated students and their families and extended warm gratitude towards dignitaries for their presence on this day.

The ceremony closed with the trumpets singing the national anthem of India and Germany and the graduates went back home with flying colors.
